Trier-Amphiteater (from below and underneath)

Here are some more photos of our visit to the Roman Amphitheater in Trier, Germany

Steps leading downstairs to where I suppose they held the animals and people.

Entrance leading down in the "dungeon" area that you saw above.

The kids walking through the dungeon area. Yucky, cold and damp down there and of course they had boards for us to walk on because the ground was so wet. Can you IMAGINE having to be down there without the boards and handrails, waiting to play their "games"?
I caught pix of Courtney and Seth going down...Seth was scared he was going to fall and was clutching onto that railing for dear life.

Here is a cage...isn't that creepy???
