Happy Birthday America!

Yesterday we had a great birthday celebration for the USA!  But let’s catch up on the home front a little bit first.  LOL!  I haven’t blogged since the day after Tyler’s birthday.  Pat made it home safely from his latest TDY trip.  He’ll be leaving again soon on another mission.  I don’t know where…it’s more of that Secret Squirrel schtuff….LOL.
Here are some LO’s that I’ve completed in the past few weeks.
familyfriends
Picture of Pat and a couple of family friends that live here in Germany.  Pat has known this couple since he was in middle school if not younger.  Which reminds me…I need to email them again.  My bad….
nap time
Just a simple LO of Seth.  I couldn’t find him one day and we looked all over the house only to find him “sleeping” on the changing table shelf.  LOL.  Scared us to death.
Li'lsass
This one is just a simple LO where I was trying to use up some scraps from other LO’s.

This one ended up being much more simple than I intended because I had 14 pictures to weed through.  14 GOOD pictures.  That doesn’t include the ones that were almost duplicates or not great shots.  I only had room for a one page LO and I already had these printed out which meant I didn’t want to reprint in a smaller size.  So there ya have it.  These are shots of the Elim Christian Center in Poland.  I stayed here with a friend when we went Polish pottery shopping in April 2005.  We also brought things from our community that Becky had been collecting for quite awhile.  I also donated a ton of clothing and stuff that we wouldn’t be needing.  The mission hands them out to the locals.  It was a great experience all around.  I loved the shopping experience but was blessed by the mission.  The missionaries’ kids were a hoot. And HEY how many of you can say you SLEPT in a castle…a real one?  :D
When Pat got home…I tried to photograph him playing with Emily…but he wouldn’t cooperate.  Then I tried to get him to look at the camera and smile…Martha…this is what I got:

Yep…that would be Emily trying to force a smile…LOL
So back to the 4th of July…..LOL
We went to Vogelweh for their community celebration since our own military installation couldn’t be bothered.  We had a great time although we were NOT expecting the prices-WHEW.  The kids didn’t ride many rides because of $$$$ but they did get to ride a few.

I didn’t get any pictures of the oldest two at alll who were hanging with friends the entire afternoon.  Hope you all had a GREAT 4th of July.  I always wonder if the people sitting next to me have any idea what it is they are celebrating.  Last night was no different but then I remembered that YES these men and women DO know…they are the ones who do the fighting for our freedom.  Hug a soldier….
