January CKCB 2022 - Layout # & A MeWe Sketch Challenge

Today, I am sharing a layout that I created using my January CKCB Kit for I'd Rather Be Scrapbooking over on MeWe.  If  you are interested in a wonderful scrapbooking group, check out that link!  Miss Kimberly gave us this sketch to work with:

What a cute sketch, huh??  I only did a minor bit of mixing it up.  Instead of the upper strip, I latered a larger width strip underneath my background and rounded the corners.  I swapped the title and journaling around because I felt like my layout was out of balance the other way.  I also used splatters for the circles on my layout.

I really like how my layout turned out!  I am working through my 2014 albums as well as finishing up the December 2013 albums.  I thought that this photo was perfect for this layout!

Thank you for stopping by today! I hope you have a GREAT week.

Big Fat Toad...

I have been diligently attempting to stay caught up with the Allison Davis Sketches For 6x6 Paper Pads-One Page Sketches this summer.  I am going to tell you that seeing a sketch with one inch squares made me pause...the entire WEEK!  Then, I decided to suck it up and just start working.  I used some photos of a big fat toad that I found during a walk.  I am forever picking them up and grossing out Emily!  LOL!!

This layout came together super easy after I started working.  My embellishment clusters feature buttons from Buttons Galore and More Basic Buttons (HB102-1 Luck).  There are some super huge buttons in my package that I received as part of the BGM Design Team and I felt that they'd make great bases for my embellishment clusters in this sketch.  I was thrilled to use up so many buttons on this layout!

Thank you for stopping by my blog today!  Have a great weekend!

Playing with sketches!

Hi!  I am here today to share a couple of layouts that I completed using sketches.  I have never really been a huge fan of sketches before but recently I was introduced to sketches by Allison Davis and Debbie Sanders from Scrapbook Generation. I am a member of a their FaceBook Community - SG Scrap Squad.  They have virtual crops all the time and that's where I worked on one of their sketches for the first time.  Since then, I have purchased one e-book that had a free class attached to it and now I have purchased a spiral bound sketch book!! It's titled It's Hip To Be Square and you can purchase your own copy here.

I cannot share the actual sketch since it's from a copyrighted source but I do want to share two of my layouts that I have created from this book.

I used some of my March and April Counterfeit Kit Club kits plus a few bits from my desktop.

This layout was from my iNSD scrapbooking mini retreat last weekend and is using my May 2021 CKCB kit (which I have completely finished off!).

I'll have to chat with you about my iNSD mini retreat that I had later this week, but thank you so much for stopping by my part of the internet today!!
