2021 Fall/Winter Coffee Blog Hop - Card #1

I haven't made a card for a couple of months but this blog hop caused some creative stuff to start blooming!  LOL!!  Check out the rest of the blog hop and see all of the amazing cards and other projects that have been shared! The image below takes you to the original post!

If you are a long time reader of my blog, you know that I am away from home visiting with my daughter for the six weeks needed for her to go through radiation treatments for brain cancer.  I didn't bring many stamps and certainly not any of my coffee themed stamps.  My good friend, Kimberly, from I'd Rather Be Scrapbooking took pity on me.  She sent me some cute digital files so I could play along with more than just Friday's layout.  Newsflash....I only had one photo of coffee to scrapbook with me although I probably have 100 or more printed out at home.  HAHAHAHA!!

My first card I printed off this cute graphic and then messy colored it with the very few Distress Ink Oxides pads that I purchased since I have been away from home.  I used some papers from my November CKCB kit to put on the card base as well as a phrase sticker and alphas to complete it.

Thank you for looking at my blog today.   Have a GREAT Sunday afternoon.

Toadally Awesome Card

I have loved these Sprinkletz with the little green frogs and flowers. Froggies are my fave!  I wanted to create a cute shaker card using these.

I used NK142 - Rib It Sprinkletz and PZ104 - Tie Dye Pearlz as fillers for my shaker card.  This turned out so cute!  Those froggies are adorable!!

Happy Monday!  Thank you for stopping by my blog today!

One In A Million - Card

Hi!  I hope that this beautiful summer day has you creating something pretty in your craft room.  I am here to share with you a card that I made for the Buttons Galore and More Design Team.  I needed a special card for a friend and what better way to say hello than with watermelons?!?

I used Fancy Pants Hometown Summer patterned paper plus some Sprinkletz (NK145 Summer Melon) to create this cute little card.  I also added a Sugar Shopped Glitter Button (US102-Granny Smith) in the upper left hand corner.  This card was simple to created and turned out perfectly with my Buttons Galore and More embellishments!

Thank you for stopping by today!  Have a great Thursday!

Hey Sunshine Card

Today I created a layered background shaker card for the Buttons Galore and More Design Team.

I wanted to do some mixing of the various products that I have received from Buttons Galore and More, including the cute little Sprinkletz fishies (NK138 - Fish Tank).  I cut several wave borders in varying colors of blue cardstock using a cut file from Silhouette Studio.  Then I used some craft foam to create a window to layer the stencil material and patterned paper (My Mind's Eye Necessities).  I filled the shaker with NK138 - Fish Tank, seed beads and sequins from LL116 - Sew Crafty, sequins from LL506 - Peacock Feathers, and LL329 North Star.

Thank you for checking out my blog today!  Have a great Thursday!

Hello Card

I created another "hello" card for Buttons Galore and More using some of their newest Sprinkletz in my shaker!!  These tiny frogs and flowers are just so cute!

I used some Jen Hadfield patterned paper and old striped ribbon from my stash.  I also cut out a cute little frog.  I created a layered scalloped circle die cut shaker using some Sprinkletz (NK142 - Rib It and NK140 - Pastel Blooms) for the filling.   I finished off the card with some hand stitching.

You should check out the newest Sprinkletz out over at Buttons Galore and More!

Another Christmas Card!

Here's another Christmas card from yours truly.   I used a few more items from Buttons Galore and More!

I have always loved buttons.  As a little girl, I used to play with my mom's tin of buttons she kept hidden underneath my dad's chair.  I wanted to create a cute little tree for a card.  I attached the buttons to a piece of chipboard that I painted with white acrylic paint and then cut out once the tree dried.

Supplies:

  • 28 Lilac Lane Kit Snow Day (LL128)
  • Pearlz Cobalt (PZ106)

Those Pearlz are just beautiful.  I have other ideas in mind for those on another project.  Tell me what you'd use them for!  I'd love to hear what you have to share!

Christmas Crafts!

I don't know about you, but I am totally in the mood to create some Christmas cards and other crafts!  I have some pretties to play with from Buttons Galore and More so that's why I am so thrilled to get busy with Christmas stuff!

One of the creations I have made this month is a snow globe for a card front! It's shaker box style with a scene made from BGM buttons and other supplies!

Supplies I used from Buttons Galore and More:

  • 28 Lilac Lane Pearls and Lace (LL510)
  • 28 Lilac Lane Kit Snow Day (LL128)
  • Sparkling Sentiments Christmas (SEN12)
  • Christmas Eve Buttons
  • Glitter Trees Buttons

What are you making in anticipation of Christmas this year?  Do  you make your own Christmas cards to send out?  I only hand-make cards for a select few people on my Christmas card list. I hope you have a blessed day and don't go crazy Black Friday shopping!  LOL

A Card!

I have had a love-hate relationship with card making for so many years.  I discovered that stamping isn't my jam and so I tend to use scraps with bits and bobs to make a card.  I have found that I love creating cards like this although I still prefer scrapbooking!  Ha!  I created a card for the BGM Design Team this month using product that they supplied me.

I used some scraps on my desk from a couple of layouts, ric-rac, a Tim Holtz chipboard phrase, and BGM 28 Lilac Lane mix (LL506-Peacock Feathers).  I think this Lilac Lane mix is one of my absolute favorites.  I love the colors and the little sequins and buttons are just so cute.

To create that woodgrain heart, I first cut out a heart with my Cameo from a scrap of patterned paper that had made itself a home on my work space.  Then, I outlined it with Diamond Glaze and the sprinkled some of the Lilac Lane mix onto the heart. Finally, I filled in the rest of the heart with Diamond Glaze.  I allowed this to dry overnight on a non-stick mat while I worked on other projects.  Once it was fully dry, I added it to my card front and added the sentiment.

I hope you are having a great week!  Thank you for stopping by my blog today! Leave me some love and say hello!!

Tyler’s 16th Birthday…

Yep!  Yesterday my oldest child turned 16.  That doesn’t seem RIGHT!  He should NOT be 16, going into his 11th grade school year.
Sigh..kids grow up and get too mouthy, too fast:
Tyler was born at 35 weeks and 5 days of my pregnancy….he was 6lbs and 6 oz 4 weeks early.  He would have been HUMONGO.  He was also 19.75” long  Here are some pix from his first year ending with an ugly scrapbook LO (it was one of the first I ever did, in the time of the STICKER SNEEZE trend):

Gettin Sketchy December challenge.

I did this LO for Gettin Sketchy monthly challenge!! Isn't that a CUTE kid? LOL

I also made this little card for my Secret Sister at ScrapGoods reveal package. I am not a fan of making cards. It takes me forever and I could make 2 LO's in the same amount of time....ROTFLOL...but ssshhhh, I actually enjoyed making this card. Just don't tell anyone.

I also made her a mini album...can't give you too much detail or share more than the cover page because it would give away who I am to her. Anyway, I enjoyed making the album. It was nice to work with someone else's pictures. I also used a Club Scrap mini album that I have had since 2004! (times TWO...a little girl I own made one for someone too and if that person's mommy is reading this blog she needs to not let said little girl READ this-LOL....hi Pam).

She really worked hard to make this special birthday card for her daddy last week.

Ok ladies these are just random photos and LO's. Enjoy!!

Seth with a cute little turtle. We think a racoon got him though during the night. We were going to keep him for a few days and turn him loose. OOPS

A random LO I did with the May SG kit. Pictures were taken in Germany in 2004. My how my kids have grown!!

Garret found a cute little turtle that Seth and Emily couldn't get enough of. Emily was afraid of it though and would squeal any time one of would try to hand it to her. She's SUCH a girl-LOL

A LO using SG's March kit. Picture is of Seth with his AWANA Cubbies group this past year which was his first year in AWANA. I used eyelets to put the "spotlight" on Seth so to speak. He said as he looked at the photo today that he was a MAD boy in that picture. Didn't give a reason as to why he was mad but there you are-LOL.

The next few pictures are of some things I made for my Mother's Day Secret Sister at SG.
