On a message board (
FROM HERE TO SCRAPTERNITY) I frequent daily (tee hee), we are discussing organization of our scrapbooking areas. I am not that organized. In fact, I would call this area organized CHAOS!!!! So here are some photos of my scrap space...and ahem, I actually straightened up a little bit....so if you think this is messy, just wonder how bad it WAS before I took the photos. ;-)
So I need you also to keep this in mind, I live in a duplex that was converted into a single dwelling for large military families. (YEAH,....I am really not the only family with lots of kids HONEST peeps) So the house still has two kitchens. The second kitchen doesn't have a stove or fridge anymore but I do have my washer/dryer in there. I skipped pictures of my laundry mess...bleck!!!
Standing in the door of my Scrappy Space this is what you see. My washer/dryer is to the left and to the right is a counter top with my Sizzix and dies and next to it right at my elbow when I was taking the photo is a drying rack that is full of laundry drying!

I stand to scrap. I tend to scrap on the run so it's easier to just stand up and not sit down only to get up to separate the next set of bickering children or to stir the dinner cooking on the other side of the house-LOL!! This next set of photos is of my counter top on both sides of the sink (which comes in real handy for stuffing things that don't have a home when you need to take pix of your messy area-LOL). The first photo is the far right and I will go across the area to the left.

This next photo is what is to my left if I turn. You can see that I use the window sill for storage. I have a small table set up under the window which holds another organize chaos: my chipboard in a 12X12 paper tray-over flowing of course, my Clip It Up by Simply Renee-yes I love this thing and yes it helps me to use up things I had hidden before, and a cake stand with an altered paint can.

Here is a close up of my window sill-

This is underneath the table-those storage units hold ScrapGoods kits organized by month. Unfortunately, I couldn't fit all that I have in them since only about two kits would fit in each drawer. My thought was to put one month per drawer in each drawer...and I have been a member over there since 2003 so I have LOTS of kits. LOTS and LOTS. I have used bits and pieces of most that I have but I like to keep them together since the kit club owners took the time to put together a coordinated kit.

This is the area to my right when standing in front of my main scrappy space-just a folding card table with my sewing machine and other "junk" on it. It's a real disaster. Oh well.....

Underneath the card table-how embarrassing....LOL...more SG kits as well as another milk crate of OTHER kit club kits....

Above the card table and below the range hood that is built into the wall I have a shelf holding my Primas.

This counter top holds my Sizzix and dies. The cabinet above has MORE dies and Xyron inside. Below it in the drawer I have various tools-heat gun, wood burning tool, etc.......And below that in the cabinets are all my thrift store finds of things to alter plus the store bought things to alter (Seth's name in wood letters is one thing that is down there).
