What hill you say-read my earlier post...then come back and read this one...LOL
I went walking again with Pat tonight. We did the same path as yesterday. That hill still STINKS...what's worse it was pouring, no NOT raining POURING...there IS a difference you know. LOL. I was soaked to the skin. Pat took off his shirt three times at least to wring it out...not me, I refused to be in public (yeah it was in the woods...LOL) with only a sports bra. A nice purple one but still...a BRA.
So for the past year, I've been trying to lose this last ten pounds off my butt. It's going no where. I am irritated. Seriously irritated. I gave up my daily dose of chocolate thinking that was the cause...nope haven't lost a pound. I stopped drinking more than one soda day again-nope not a pound. I've cut back on my other carbs...nope not a pound. I've cut portion sizes. I've cut calories...not a POUND. Yep this irritates me. Nothing wrong with my thyroid either...had that checked. TWICE. So now I am trying to exercise twice a day...this is insane. I've been on plateaus before...but NEVER for a year.
To give myself some credit I did gain 3lbs in June while we were in Texas. I've almost lost all of that...but it's 3lbs....GROOOWWWLLLLLL...this is frustrating. And yah I have gained muscle during this year. But clothes still fit mostly the same just no bulges out of the waist...LOL...and I am still nursing Emily...the little leech.

2.5 EQUALS 1
Now that all of you math minded people are scratching your heads trying to figure out how on earth I came up with that....
2.5 MILES equals one HOUR....dh and I went for a walk last night. Not just an ordinary, run of the mill stroll either. There's a trail on this military installation that runs up hills (rather big ones in my opinion-LOL) and down through the woods. I decided to exercise twice yesterday (I did an hour of strength training yesterday too).
So we take off at a fast pace. I keep it up the whole way-we get to that big ole hill and dh tells me to slow down or I won't make it up the hill. PSHAW..I kept up the pace and only slowed down slightly...what a walk...we were ALMOST running. I hate to run. And even if I were a runner I would NOT pick that trail to run. Loose gravel and those hills would cause me to fall and break my neck!
As far as I am concerned, 2.5=1. LOL
AND BTW-I did get that bill paid the following morning...right on it's DUE DATE. Now you really know why I was growling...it was almost late. LOL

Not much going on around here
I spent several hours today doing 6 weeks of lesson plans for our upcoming school year. Fun-NOT! But at least I have an idea of what we are doing. It looks like the kids are in for a HUGE surprise this year-they are actually going to be required to work HARD. Sheesh and they already think I am a slave driver!
seth wants to "Do school" with us this year too. So I am going to be making up little activities that he can do too. I might even be able to include him in on some of the things we are learning.
We went to the river today and had such fun. A lady there caught some tadpoles and gave them to Emily and Seth to play with (we had an ice cream bucket that we were filling with rocks and dumping). Emily was so tickled at those "shish"!! She just giggled. ANd where was my trusty digital camera? At home! :(( Seth loved them and wasn't quite sure about them being baby frogs. But Emily liked the idea of them being frogs and was calling them that after attempting the word tadpole unsuccessfully. ;)
I am sore. WHY?? Overkill on the exercising the butt muscles this past week. Oh well, I want to get it back into shape and so I am doing as much as I can without killing myself.
On Wednesday I go back to SG HQ for the local DT meeting. Not thrilled with the papers and the technique looks really HARD. I would rather just skip the kit-LOL. I do have an idea in mind for a LO so will just see if I can pull off one LO and call it even. After all I worked my bum off last month.

2.8 Down...9 to go!
Yeah that is my goal...I want to lose 9 more pounds. Technicall to get to my pre-Seth and Emily weight its 14lbs to go, but I will be happy with the 9. In fact (don't share this with my body or it might rebel), I would be happy to go under 140 and stay there. I was 138 when we left Germany. I was okay with that. I like 132 better though. :D
Anyway, its swimsuit season. YUCK! I don't care who you are or what size your backside is, most women do NOT like swimsuit season. But Pat wanted to take the kids to the indoor pool at the fitness center. After all, its free to us so why not use it. I gave him the deer in the headlights look. But I don't have a suit that fits right. Let's go buy one he says...darn the luck, I was hoping to get out of it. I went to Wally World yesterday and looked at suits. I tried on one top and two bottoms. Its not entirely true that I don't have a suit already that fits. What's more accurate is I don't have a suit I will wear because I don't like the "Cottage cheese" on the back of my thighs. :( I mean, WHO does? So the bottoms I picked up were a) a black skirted bottoms and 2) pink printed boy shorts. The boy shorts were horrid. Black skirted bottoms and the pink printed tank top came home with me.
We went to the pool and the kids had a blast playing the water. Even Emily who I was SURE would hate the pool was trying to dunk her face in the water and kicking and splashing in the baby floaty. So the lifeguard calls an "everybody out" so she can take a break and I sit on the edge of the pool. I stand up and my suit sticks to the edge!!! Yikes-I ended up with some glue stuff on my BRAND NEW, looks decent on my butt swim suit!!!!!!! UGH!!!! Anybody have some Un-Do? I am in need of a bottle to save my new swim suit.
No, I did NOT take pictures. I didn't bring it. For Shame! Next time though. I wasn't sure how things worked at the fitness center so didn't want to have my very expensive digital camera get stolen or wet.
