Revisiting our four environments experiment…

On day 3 of our experiment, we put together a baby food jar with four environments.  We put water inside the jar with two paper towels hanging off each side.  Inside the jar we put seeds, we put seeds on each paper towel (covering one with plastic wrap and not the other), and then turned the lid upside down and put seeds into it.  A few of you made predictions of which would sprout.
Dry (inside the lid)-no sprouting
Water-(either no sprouting OR a tiny sprout, sprouts were yellowish-white.
Cool, moist-either no sprouting or minimal
Warm, light, moist-(with the plastic wrap square covering)-sprouting!

We put all four environments into our greenhouse, adding to the warm, moist, light circle we already added yesterday.  We then made predictions on how each circle would grow.  Not sure what the seeds on the left, upper side are for….maybe our “control”.  I haven’t looked ahead to see.
