More Science Experiment and a project

Today is day 3 of our experiment…we checked the progress of our seedlings and discovered that we have several seeds that has lost their seed coats and the cotyledon have broken free. The kids drew and graphed their results. Afterwards we built a 4 environment experiment to see how seeds sprout in various environments. We all know that seeds need: water, oxygen, and warmth to sprout. So what happens when you take one or more of those necessities away?

Check it out, mom!

Four environments are as follows:
A) seeds in the lid, with no water or dirt
B) Seeds in the water inside the jar with the lid on top
C) Seeds on outside of jar on a moistened paper towel with plastic wrap covering them
d) Seeds on outside of jar on a moistened paper towel as above MINUS the plastic wrap.
Which of the four will sprout do you think???
And my project:

This is for my grandmother. The front cover of a tiny album. This is small enough to fit into her purse. If you are reading this and KNOW my grandmother, would you please not tell her about this gift? THANKS!
Image503
This is what you see when you open the front cover of this album…it’s an accordion album.

What you see when you turn the page.
Image506
When you turn Garret’s page, you get to the back cover. A friend from OSU RAK’d the metal words on the covers. THANKS if you are reading this!
Image507
Open up the back cover and you see Courtney’s pages.
Image508
Open (the left side) and you see Seth’s pages.

And Emily’s pages. Hope Grandma likes….
OK, I gotta run…kids are needing attention. (read to for nap…and I am going to exercise)

I love that LO. I'm sure your grandma will too.

On #4 above that did you mean w/o the plastic?

I think the seeds on the wet paper towel w/o the plastic will sprout. My girls also say D.

Love the mini album - your grandmother is going to love having this in her purse to show her friends. Great photos of the science experiment. Your Tyler is getting to be such a handsome young man (even if he won't smile for you).

This is a very nice album she will treasure as she will be able to share it with everyone she sees! Which most grandmothers like to do.
